I was born in Poland. Fascinated by London's creative atmosphere I moved to London in 2007 shortly after obtaining a MA in History of Art at the Jagiellonian University Krakow. Two years later, in November 2009 I founded my jewellery brand "bobbin & bow''.
I like working and experimenting with different materials - hand-cut and hand-dyed lace, silk thread and various precious stones to create contemporary, yet timeless elegant jewellery. I like charm necklaces as well as statement jewellery. I love using vintage parts in my designs to ensure they are truly one-off pieces. My latest Collection "Druzy Wonderland" is a combination of sparkling druzy stones, raw pyrite nuggets, unique striped flint beads with carefully selected vintage chains and cotton braided cords.
My jewellery is reflection of my interests, personality and my constant, everlasting interest in art, fashion and design. I draw inspirations from the beauty of random objects, nature, paintings and people. There is always a story behind each piece. Dark, rich colours of Italian Renessaince paintings and the calmness of Vermeer's interior scenes had a significant effect on me while working on the recent collection and lookbook.
Each piece of jewellery is unique and hand-crafted by me in East London to the highest standards from fine quality materials with a variety of colours and finishes available.
I think my love of sewing, craftmaking I inherited from my lovely grandmother Jadwiga who was a fashion designer and a model. She was a true fashionista. Nowadays I adore her handmade and stylish pieces of clothing and wear her plastic yellow necklace.
